Job Description

Salary: $88,800 - 133,200 per year Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience building full-stack web applications, including modern front-end interfaces and middle-tier or API services.
  • Proficiency with Angular 17+ and Angular Material, C# and .NET 8+, YARP, SSO authentication, and mutual TLS (mTLS).
  • Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs that integrate with enterprise systems.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, including basic SQL queries and relational data models.
  • Strong understanding of secure coding, authentication and authorization, encryption, and sensitive-data handling, including PII.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests and using Git or GitHub for version control and reusable libraries; Spectator, Jasmine, and Playwright are preferred.
  • Comfort working in Microsoft Azure environments and willingness to use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and OpenCode.
  • Experience with C# and .NET or .NET Core, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, modern front-end frameworks, server-side logic, business services, and API integrations; REST experience is required, and SOAP is a plus.
  • Experience with data storage solutions such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Azure data services, or Snowflake; reusable code and shared libraries; and application deployment and support in Azure.
  • Preferred: experience building internal operational or workflow applications, integrating financial or other enterprise systems, or working with microservices, service-oriented architectures, or distributed systems.
  • Preferred: Agile development experience, direct collaboration with business stakeholders, CI/CD pipelines, build automation, release management, IIS configuration, automated or performance testing, and regulated data environments.
  • Preferred: advanced SQL development, including stored procedures, scripting, and data modeling in Microsoft SQL Server.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and build web applications that support customer service and collections associates in a high-volume call center.
  • Develop responsive, intuitive user interfaces and middle-layer services integrated with enterprise systems, including CarMax Auto Finances Alfa loan accounting platform.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology partners to turn servicing and collections processes into useful tools and workflows.
  • Build and maintain APIs and integration services connecting web applications with backend systems and third-party services.
  • Contribute across the software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, implementation, and production support.
  • Improve application performance, usability, and reliability for associates who depend on these tools daily.
  • Understand user needs, explore solutions, and build, test, and deploy reliable, scalable applications that address complex business problems while balancing user needs, operational realities, and technical considerations.
